Drinks and Discourse Monthly Meet-Up

March 30 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Drinks and Discourse is an informal space where we can get together face to face (irl) to hang out, drink, and discuss politics.

It’s a space to share what we are doing and see what everyone else has been up to and casually discuss completely changing the world.

This month we will have a theme! “I Thought the Future Would be Cooler”

A few ways in which we Thought the Future Would be Cooler:

– Personal robots and automation would give us more free time
– Hover crafts or light-rail would make transportation cheap and accessible
– New energy sources would give us clean air and better health
– Global citizenship with respect for all races, ethnicities, and gender

What did you think the future would look like when you were growing up? How did we end up here instead? How are some of the things we dreamed of actually happening, but not how we wanted?

By exploring our most far out expectations, we can start to make a vision, and we must have a vision to make progress.

As usual, most of the space will be for just hanging out, finding common ground, venting, sharing experiences, and uniting the community.
